Description

Kingdomino is a light strategy game for the whole family where players take on the role of rulers expanding their kingdoms. Inspired by classic dominoes, the game replaces numbers with different types of terrain that must be matched and arranged thoughtfully.

Each player begins with a starting tile featuring their castle, which acts as the center of their kingdom. From there, you will gradually expand your territory by adding new domino tiles.

In every round, a set of tiles is revealed, showing different landscapes such as forests, fields, lakes, and mountains. While the terrain side is visible, each tile also has a hidden number that determines the turn order for the next round.

A turn consists of two steps:

1. Place the tile you selected in the previous round into your kingdom.
2. Choose a new tile for the next round by placing your marker on it.

When adding a tile, at least one of its squares must connect to a matching terrain type already in your kingdom (or to your castle, which acts as a wild space). Your kingdom must always fit within a 5×5 grid.

If you cannot legally place a tile, it must be discarded.

At the end of the game, players score points based on their territories. Each connected area of the same terrain type is worth:

• the number of tiles in that area,
• multiplied by the number of crowns within it.
